Your role

Interested in working in finance, specifically in assessing the impact of regulatory developments but not sure where to start? Do you want to work for a firm with a truly global footprint that consistently ranks among the world's top financial institutions?
We’re looking for recent graduates to join our 2026 Graduate Industry Traineeship (GRIT) Program within our Compliance and Operational Risk Control (C&ORC) business.

You’ll get to:

• learn how regulatory changes shape our business by tracking developments and assessing their initial impact across the APAC region
• develop foundational skills in regulatory engagement, reporting and stakeholder collaboration
• build your network and develop your skills by connecting with peers, mentors and leaders across UBS

Your team

You’ll be working in our Regulatory Management team within C&ORC in Singapore. We provide oversight and coordination of regulatory developments across the firm, ensuring divisional and central C&ORC teams engage relevant stakeholders, complete assessments, provide expert advisory support, and define the necessary actions. This helps our business and control functions maintain strong compliance standards.

As a Regulatory Compliance Officer, you’ll play an important role in helping track regulatory changes and supporting stakeholder engagement to ensure the firm remains fully prepared for new and emerging requirements.

Your expertise

We’re looking for a candidate who:
• is a recent graduate from a university or polytechnic (Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident)
• has interest in general risk management and regulatory compliance in the financial services industry
• is reliable and resilient, remaining composed and constructive during challenging situations or conversations
• is efficient and results-oriented, with exceptional organizational skills
• has values that align with ours: hard-working, trustworthy, dedicated and collaborative
• is a strategic thinker with strong communication skills
• is motivated to work in a business with high demands and tight deadlines

We’re looking for someone who’s curious and wants to thrive in a business that never stops moving. We welcome all majors, but it’s important to have an interest in the financial industry. We want to see what makes you unique and discover what you can bring to our team. Perhaps you’ve organized a fundraising event or taken part in team sports? Or stepped out of your comfort zone to learn about a subject you found challenging? Let us know how your achievements match the skills we’re after.

Your program

During your 6-month paid traineeship, you’ll work with our experts and learn about the industry, our clients and our firm.

You’ll be right at the heart of our business, learning from your colleagues, and taking part in day-to-day operations.

You'll be given mentors along the way and will have the chance to get to know some of the most senior members of our team.

You’ll have plenty of opportunities to develop new skills and make contacts along the way. If you like challenges, enjoy learning and want to work where no two days are the same, this program is for you.

Palpable Score

70.7
/ 100
UBS provides strong early-career access through multiple structured routes, including an 18–24-month Graduate Talent Program, summer internships, off-cycle internships, and Swiss apprenticeships. UBS sets clear expectations on stages and assessments, but UBS also states the company cannot provide detailed feedback after rejections, which limits transparency for first-time applicants. Early-career outcomes look positive in pathway design and cohort scale, but publicly available conversion, retention, and promotion metrics are limited and the wider post-acquisition restructuring environment adds uncertainty in some teams.
